In their wordsWhat people say

Our clients recommend us based on the quality and beauty of the finished product — and on the personal service they experience from our leadership team throughout the process. Others know us from the way we turn up when the islands need us.

He is using his personal resources to get people out of Sandy Point. We chatted for a minute and I asked how long are you gonna be here; he reply “until the people stop coming.” This man is one of the many heroes on ground in Abaco.

Beyond the buildCommunity Outreach

One of our greatest joys is giving back to the communities in which we work. We have a profound respect for the beauty, ecosystem and culture of these islands — and for the people who make them what they are.

From the national parks that keep the Bahamas worth visiting, to the athletes and young tradespeople coming up behind us, we back the places we build in.

In August 2026 we sponsored Free to Thrive, a free women’s health morning in Nassau on menopause and wellbeing, hosted by Shaddai Health with Church of Christ and The Lillie Renee Foundation.

The Lillie Renee Foundation

Empowering the most vulnerable members of society.

Founded by Sagoma president Marvin Arrington, the Lillie Renee Foundation is an independent Bahamian non-profit that brings relief and empowerment to children, senior citizens and people with disabilities — through housing, education and quality care.

When Hurricane Dorian devastated Abaco, the foundation was on the ground: home repairs and debris removal, school clean-ups alongside UNDP and UNICEF, tool and food distribution, and an assistance programme helping local business owners rebuild their livelihoods.

Students we put through university

Sagoma sponsors Bahamian students through university abroad, whatever they are studying. Some spend their summers on site with the firm and come back into the business when they qualify; others are headed into professions of their own. The commitment is the same either way.

Mission To Haiti

Supported by Sagoma

Founded in 1981 and now in its forty-fifth year, the mission works from a campus at Cazeau on the edge of Port-au-Prince, building churches, clinics and schools. It is putting up a new elementary school — classrooms, kitchen and furnishings, desks for seventy-five students, and uniforms for the children who will fill them — and funds Vacation Bible Schools that are, for many neighbourhood children, the highlight of the summer.

Good to knowCommon questions

The questions we are asked most often by owners planning a build in the islands.

Do you build outside New Providence?

Yes. A large part of our work is on the out islands and on undeveloped private islands, where there is no established supply chain, no local labour pool waiting on site and often no dock, road or power to start from.

Building in those conditions is a different discipline from building in Nassau, and it is one of the areas we are strongest in.

Who will we actually be dealing with?

Our managing partners provide strategic oversight, while dedicated project teams manage execution. This structure ensures continuity, scalability and accountability throughout every engagement.

It is the most recognised characteristic of Sagoma — and the thing clients say they value most about our service.

How do materials get to the site?

Procurement, freight, customs clearance and site delivery are all handled inside the programme rather than left to chance. On island projects, getting the right material to the right dock at the right week is a large part of whether a schedule holds.

What happens after the building is completed?

Systems are tested, as-built drawings and warranties are handed over and the punch list is completed.

We then offer long-term maintenance of the finished building. In this climate, continued care is part of protecting the investment rather than an optional extra.

What types of project do you take on?

Custom and high-end homes, boutique and luxury resorts, private island developments, and commercial buildings — across The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.
